Evening Prayer with Bishop-designate Barry C. Knestout

Please gather with us Thursday, January 11, 2018, as we celebrate Evening Prayer with our new shepherd at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Evening Prayer is open to the public and no ticket is required to enter. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis so please arrive early to ensure you have a seat.

Evening Prayer will be streamed live online through the diocesan web and Facebook pages. Livestream for Evening Prayer begins at 6:55 p.m.

Installation Mass for the Most Rev. Barry C. Knestout
Friday, January 12th at 2:00 p.m.

Installation Mass for Bishop-designate Barry C. Knestout, 13th Bishop of Richmond, will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The Installation Mass is by invitation only. Due to limited seating, only ticket holders will gain entry into the Cathedral for the Installation Mass. Cathedral doors will open at 12:30 p.m. All ticket holders will need to be in their seats by 1:30 p.m.

Anyone who entered the online lottery last month and won a ticket has been notified. For any questions about the lottery or your lottery ticket, please email [email protected] or call (804)622-5294.

For those who cannot attend, there are a number of opportunities to watch the January 12th Installation Mass! The diocese will carry a livestream on both its website and Facebook pages. Live television coverage of the Installation Mass will be broadcast on the EWTN nationwide cable television network and on all its platforms. Check your local listing for channel information. No parking around the Cathedral is permitted for Evening Prayer and Mass of Installation. General public parking is available in the VCU decks that allow public parking.
