Office of the Vicar General

Purpose

The Office of the Vicar General is, after the Diocesan Bishop, the highest administrative office in the Diocese. The Vicar General oversees all administrative matters. The Vicar General also, by appointment, exercises the office of the Moderator of the Diocesan Curia. He coordinates the exercise of administrative responsibilities and sees that all members of the Curia dutifully fulfills the offices entrusted to them. The Moderator of the Curia fosters unity, identity and purpose with the Curia. He provides guidance and direction to the Offices and Departments in the implementation of the Mission of the Diocese and identification of the priorities set forth by the Bishop.
