Communications and Office Support Specialist (Pastoral Center, Richmond)

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond is seeking a Communications and Office Support Specialist to provide support to the following three offices: The Office for Evangelization, Office of Social Ministry, and Center for Marriage, Family and Life.

The Communications and Office Support Specialist will enable a strong social media and web presence for all three offices, will develop and support online registration for various office events and programs, and will oversee the office finance-related processes.

The Communications and Office Support Specialist will cover and publicize events, programs, announcements and strategic communications campaigns on the offices’ digital and social media accounts. The successful candidate will also create and send monthly newsletters and other ad-hoc communications to various stakeholder groups; will assist with shooting, editing, producing and publishing text, digital media, audio, photos and videos as needed; and will process all check requests, expense reports, and deposits for the offices; will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum of H.S. Diploma required; must possess strong computer and design skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Web Design Skills (particularly WordPress), in-depth knowledge of social media, social media advertising and corresponding tools and platforms, including but not limited to Facebook Publishing Tools, Insights and Ad Manager, Canva), strong familiarity with Adobe Suite, online registration tools, and online evaluation tools; detail-oriented, highly organized, and an ability to articulate ideas clearly, concisely and professionally both orally and in writing. A working knowledge of Catholic Church teaching and structure is beneficial.
