Cristo Rey Richmond High School is seeking a Director of Campus Ministry/Religion Teacher.
As the Campus Minister, you will work under the supervision of the principal to help create an environment which encourages and guides all members to contribute to the Catholic identity of the campus and the formation of a faith community which responds to the spiritual needs of the students, teachers, staff and parents. In collaboration with the administration, Theology Department, faculty and staff, parents, students, and parishes, the campus minister brings to life a campus rich in the school’s charism, spiritual growth, prayer, discipleship.
As a religion teacher, you will plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a secondary Catholic learning community in accordance with the Cristo Rey Curriculum, Common Core and Virginia State Standards. Faculty are charged with modeling the principles that enable our students to become men and women of faith, purpose and service. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from a Catholic University, a Masters degree (preferred) with experience teaching at all levels in high school, possession of a valid Virginia teaching license and two years of urban teaching experience preferred.
