St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk, VA seeks a full time Family Service Advisor (FSA) to assist families with advance planning and planning when the need arises.
The FSA conducts a minimum of pre-need appointments per month, and will participate in community networking and outreach events. The FSA will attend committal ceremonies when needed, and will set up the memorial design process, serving as the point of contact with families.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred, and at least 3 years of relevant cemetery experience. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be compassionate, caring and confidential. Required skills include planning and organization, time management and attention to detail. The candidate must be able to adapt to changing priorities. The ability to maintain adequate records and keep such records current is essential. A good working knowledge of Catholic Church teaching and structure is required. Must have a valid state issued driver’s license, good driving record and proof of insurance.
