The Little Sisters of the Poor in Henrico are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in long term care for a full time position.
The Little Sisters of the Poor are known throughout the world for the compassionate care they give their elderly residents. They operate the St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged, a long term care facility in the West End of Richmond, with 70+ assisted living and nursing residents as well as residents in 21 independent living apartments.
The Infection Preventionist/Staffing Development Coordinator is responsible to establish and maintain an infection prevention and control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment and to help prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections. This position is also responsible for staff training, including planning overall orientation and ongoing education, using Relias online in-service program, and in-service programs for the development of skills so as to provide for quality of care. The successful candidate will provide safety/health teaching to Residents.
Dependability is an absolute must, as are dedication, experience in long-term care, and a cooperative spirit. This position must be physically capable of regularly lifting objects weighing 20 pounds and moving wheeled carts weighing 100 pounds.
