
F-1 Transfer-In Students
For students currently studying in the United States who hold an F-1 Visa.
I-20 Transfer-In Process:
- APPLY to and meet all the admission requirements for the Catholic Diocese of Richmond school of choice.
- PAY the Registration Fee to the Diocese of Richmond
- CURRENT school should COMPLETE the Diocese of Richmond Transfer-In Form and submit it to the school of choice in the Diocese of Richmond
- CURRENT school will need to Transfer current I-20 using the Diocese of Richmond School Codes
- CURRENT school will complete and submit an I-20 application along with a copy of the acceptance letter, current passport and visa to the PDSO.
- If classes are in session, the student must continue to attend classes until the transfer release date.
- The transfer release date is determined in consultation with the Designated School Official of the current school.
- THE PDSO will complete and process the Transfer with an updated I-20 and mail the new official I-20 to the student
I-20 TRANSFER- OUT PROCESS:
Submit the following to the Office of Catholic Schools:
- Acceptance letter to new school
- Completed Transfer-Out Form as required by new school
- Contact information for the International Student Adviser at new school
- SEVIS School Code for new school
- If classes are in session, the student must continue to attend classes until the transfer release date.
- The transfer release date is determined in consultation with the Designated School Official of the current school.
- For high school graduates, the I-20 will be released to the college or university on the date of graduation.
