Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic School in Hampton, VA is currently seeking enthusiastic and dynamic Junior Kindergarten teacher for in-person teaching and learning for the 2024-2025 school year.

Eligible candidates should possess or be able to apply for VA teacher license. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic role model who is passionate about sharing the Catholic faith, have experience in supporting student’s learning through developmentally appropriate educational activities and lessons, assessments, and hands-on experiences. Create an inviting, meaningful, and engaging learning environment. Work in partnership with other staff, parents, and students. Communicate effectively and demonstrate a commitment to advance the mission of the school.

• Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an approved program for general education (Early Childhood Education) preferred.
• Computer literate and technologically proficient.
• Highly organized and motivated.
• Must be eligible for teacher licensure in Virginia.
• Possess basic First Aid and CPR/AED certificate preferred; complete within 90 days of appointment.
