Asians for Mary Pilgrimage @ Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

Please join the Diocese of Richmond Office of Asian Ministry as we join other pilgrims from across the nation to the annual Asians for Mary Pilgrimage at the Basilica of the National Shrine in Washington, D.C. If you’d like to travel by bus for a nominal fee please click on the event website link above to register online. Buses will depart from St. Andrews in Roanoke, St. Gregory the Great in Virginia Beach and the Pastoral Center in Richmond. Light snacks will be provided. Seating is limited!

Life Planning Seminar: Moral Questions at the End of Life @ Pastoral Center, Richmond (Distance Learning at Saint Andrew, Roanoke and Saint Bede, Williamsburg)

This session will feature a panel including a moral theologian, physician, priest, and attorney. The panelists will discuss Church teaching as it relates to moral issues that may arise at the end of one’s life such as the boundaries of ordinary versus extraordinary care and what you should consider when creating an Advance Medical Directive or attaining a health care proxy.

The founders of Emmaus Ministry for Grieving Parents, Charlie and Diane Monaghan, will be hosting information sessions for all interested persons to come and learn more about the history of EMFGP and how it helps parents who have suffered the loss of a child for any reason from miscarriage to violence, accident, or illness.
