The Archdiocese of Washington has partnered with Washington-area Catholic entities and the regional dioceses to host this stateside celebration of World Youth Day in Washington. Young adults from across the region have been invited to gather for this event.
Panama in the Capital will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. on the campus of The Catholic University of America at 620 Michigan Avenue, N.E., with accompanying events at the adjoining Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and at the nearby Saint John Paul II National Shrine.

This program will be carried out at a parish level to build an intercultural parish team. They will be made up of parish leadership (including the pastor) and other members of their choosing from the main cultures present at the parish. Their goals are to create partnerships with church and community leaders, follow up the experiences of encounter with small groups whose purpose is to grow in their relationship with each other and deepening their understanding by collaborating on projects involving awareness building, advocacy or action in the community.
