As part of the New Evangelization it is important that both the laity and the ordained continually challenge ourselves to infuse the Gospel into our culture. This new interactive monthly webinar is designed to explore a variety of topics related to the joys and challenges that we experience in the face of Jesus’ challenge to “Go, and make disciples…”.
Tune in and participate in the interactive content. You can ask questions and engage in discussion around topics of interest to you. Or just sign up and keep it on in the background while you work and tune in when something catches your ear.
Sign up today…it’s FREE! Each webinar will take place from 2:30pm – 3:30pm and will be recorded. In order to receive the recording, you must be sure to register even if you can’t attend the live session.

The Diocesan Work Camp is a weeklong camp experience for high school youth to serve our brothers and sisters in need by making their homes safer, warmer, drier, and greener while also having the opportunity to grow in our Catholic faith.
Work Camp is not just a youth event. It is an opportunity for parishes to make a difference in the lives of those in need right here in our diocese while encouraging youth to answer their baptismal call to serve others.
For more information, contact the Office for Evangelization.
The Event has been canceled and will be rescheduled again in the fall.
The Saint George Trek is The National Catholic Committee on Scouting high adventure Catholic leadership program for older Catholic Boy Scouts and Venture Crew members at Philmont Scout Ranch. The program brings Catholic high school youth from around the country together with selected priests, religious and seminarians for eleven days of backpacking in the context of a vocation retreat.
The Saint George Trek begins in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the participants get to know one another, train, have fun, and pray. Then it’s off to Philmont Scout Ranch where they will hike the Sangre de Cristo Range of the Rocky Mountains. While hiking, they will experience a program that is designed to encourage the integration of morality, values, spirituality, faith, scripture and vocation in their lives as young Catholic Men and Women. Before returning home they will be asked to commit their own continued discernment as well as bringing their experiences home to their respective dioceses, so they can become effective peer leaders and role models for their fellow scouts.
Candidate Qualifications/Selection
The Diocese of Richmond will sponsor as many as two Boy Scouts or Venture Crew members for participation in the Trek. Please download the application for the 2017 Trek.
