Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic School in Hampton, VA is currently seeking a part time aide for “Beyond the Bell” After-School Care Program.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma, have at least 2 years of experience in child-care to provide supervision and support of our after-school program. The position requires excellent oral and written communications, attention to detail, the ability to work as part of team and provide exceptional customer service to students and families rooted in Catholic/Christian values.

Responsibilities/Tasks

• Assists after care supervisor with daily preparations.
• Aid students during before or after care activities.
• Assist with maintaining aftercare materials and classroom organization.

Qualification 

• High school graduate or higher.
• 2 years of experience as an After Care attendant in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk/stoop/bend while supervising and assisting students in daily activities both inside and outside the school building.
• Possess basic First Aid and CPR/AED certificate preferred; complete within 90 days of appointment.

Start Date: 2024-2025 School Year (August 15, 2024)

Salary: Hourly (20-22 hrs./week)
