Office of Information Technology

Purpose: The Office of Information Technology strives to guide the Pastoral Center, Parishes and Schools into the future in the area of Information Technology. The Office provides technical resources to Pastoral Center staff to assist in collecting, processing, storing and disseminating information both to and from the Center. The Office oversees equipment and software components to assist in all aspects of financial management of the diocese, including the annual diocesan appeal. A Central Information Database is maintained that contains demographic and human resource information on parishes and schools, as well as serves as a reservoir for all information needed to populate the diocesan website and published directory. Remote access to the database is provided to parish and school staff. The Office maintains all resources needed for video conferencing solutions and provides guidelines to staff and those in our parishes and schools in the use of this technology in an effort to bring a geographically large diocese closer together. The office is also responsible for the Pastoral Center telecommunication systems. The Office provides direction, training and support to parish and school administrative staff in the use of technology and establishes standards for data collection and reporting. In addition, it provides assistance in the purchasing of administrative office software and hardware for parishes and schools.
