Fiat Days Retreat @ TBD
Jul 18 – Jul 20 all-day

“Fiat” is a Latin word that refers to Mary’s response to the angel Gabriel, “May it be done to me according to your word” (Luke 1:38). The goal of Fiat Days is to bring high school aged women together who desire to grow in faithful discipleship and personal holiness to be better able to discover their own vocation from the Lord, with a special focus on the call to religious life. We will be joined by religious sisters from several communities for this three-day retreat.

Emmaus Ministry Retreat @ Saint Edward the Confessor, Richmond
Aug 25 all-day

Of all the pains that life can hand us, arguable the most searing is the death of a child. A parent’s world irrevocably and horrifically changes forever. As Jesus joined his distraught disciples on the road to Emmaus after his crucifixion, we ask him to join us as we struggle through this horrendous journey of grief daily.

To meet the spiritual needs of Catholic parents whose children of any age have died by any cause – no matter how long ago – the Diocese of Richmond now offers the Emmaus Ministry for Grieving Parents. A unique, faith-based program providing spiritual retreats for grieving parents offered by grieving parents, Emmaus Ministry offers a safe place where you can find peace, comfort, and hope.

Join us in a warm and loving environment with others who know something of your pain.
