[post_content] => St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex, NC is seeking a Director of Music to join our vibrant and storied 35 year old music ministry.

Our parish is searching for a dynamic individual to oversee a growing program that serves over 3000 families. We are located within the Research Triangle of Raleigh, Durham & Chapel Hill, NC – an area with an abundance of world class universities, international scientific & technological companies, and a multitude of cultural and family-friendly venues and activities. We are a short drive away from downtown Raleigh, our state’s capital, which has a renowned array of museums, shops, and famed restaurants. Our quaint little town of Apex has been featured in Forbes, Money Magazine & Family Circle as among the top 10 best places to live in the United States.

Candidates for this position should have the ability to lead and supervise volunteer musicians at all levels to staff 5 weekend Masses, Holy Days, Weddings, Funerals, and other Liturgical Celebrations. Adult, Teen, Children & Handbell choirs have a long standing history at St. Andrew, and the Music Director’s job is made easier by many talented and generous accompanists, musicians and vocalists as well as an enthused, singing congregation. The parish is in the process of purchasing and installing a new 3 manual, 59 stop Phoenix digital organ. In addition, we own a Boston grand piano, and 3 octaves of Malmark handbells. Applicants should have strong choral conducting, and advanced organ, piano and vocal skills.

See parish website (www.saintandrew.org) for full job description. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

To inquire about any position or to submit a resume, please email jobs@saintandrew.org.

Applicants should have strong choral conducting, and advanced organ, piano and vocal skills.

See parish website (www.saintandrew.org) for full job description. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
