Far Southwest Outreach

In 2017, the Appalachian Regional Commission listed Virginia’s Dickenson, Lee, and Wise County under “Designated Distressed Counties:” The 2012-2014 unemployment rate average was listed as 7.3% and the 2010-2014 poverty rate as 18.8%.

Our office supports resources, funding, and networking for building and supporting community within the bounds of parish capacities.
