Christian Formation supports, educates, and empowers ministry leaders
to become Spirit-filled disciples leading others to Christ.
The Office of Christian Formation is excited to celebrate two virtual tracks at the Saturday, November 7 Eucharistic Congress. The first track is aimed for children K-5 and their families, and the second track is aimed for children/adults with developmental and intellectual challenges. Sign language and other adaptations are made throughout these tracks to make the Eucharistic Congress accessible to all our parishioners. What can you do now?

The Office of Christian Formation is pleased to announced Pathways: Delivered supported by the Catholic Faith Technologies online platform. This program is to train all catechists in your parish via self-paced, online learning. We have already had some of your catechists successfully complete the Tier One training, and we are grateful!

Who counts as a “catechist”? Anyone responsible for forming children, youth, and/or adults at your parish is a catechist! This includes children and family faith formation, youth ministry, adult faith formation, and RCIA.
If a catechist previously attended an in-person Pathways, should they take Pathways: Delivered? While there have been enhancements in the material and anyone is welcome to take a refresher, no one who has previously attended a Pathways in-person session is required to retake the program.
Is Pathways: Delivered in Spanish? Yes, a parallel Tier-1 Certification program in Spanish is coming soon. If Spanish is the primary language for your catechist, please wait to take the training in Spanish.
How do I know if my Catechists are previously certified?
ACTION STEP: We ask that all catechetical leaders submit a list of their catechists for the 2020 year to firstname.lastname@example.org . Please use the subject line: Current Catechist List–[Your Parish]. When we receive your list, we will then be able to send you a list of which catechists have already completed catechist training. We thank you for your assistance to make this process faster for everyone!
